You can choose from two challenge types when creating your challenge: Teams Complete The Map Separately or Teams Work Together To Complete The Map.
The choice depends on how you want the map aspect of the challenge to work. Should each team separately walk along the challenge route, or should they all walk together?
It's important to note that both types involve teams of participants and a team leaderboard (for some friendly competition!).
Teams Complete The Map Separately is the more common mode. In this mode, each team moves along the virtual route on their own. A participant sees only where their own team is on the map. Map progress would look different for each team. This is great for teams trying to complete smaller routes across a single country or region.
Teams Work Together To Complete The Map allows all teams to work together. In this mode, teams move along the virtual route together. A participant sees the progress of all teams combined as a single point on the map. Map progress would look the same for each team. This is great for longer routes with a more collaborative feel to the challenge.
Our Challenge Creator will suggest routes of an appropriate length when you set up your challenge, but feel free to contact our support team for more information.
